Strength of community. Of cultures. Of experiences. Strength to embrace new chapters and opportunities. We believe that Bostonians who are 55+ make our City strong and vibrant. Our mission is to enhance your life with meaningful programs, resources, and connections so we can live and age strong in Boston together. Age Strong Rolling Grant Program Through this program, Age Strong seeks to support one-time programs, events, and small-scale program needs for social programming and support the day-to-day costs of those serving Boston’s 55+ population. Grant Program Description Through the Age Strong Rolling Grants, Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston’s Age Strong Commission seek to fund projects that are small in scale to support organizations serving Boston’s older adults. This grant program provides essential financial assistance to help small non-profit and community groups overcome the unexpected costs that often arise related to day-to-day and programming expenses. The Age Strong Rolling Grants are designed to ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of an organization’s ability to meet the needs of older adults throughout the year. This grant program builds on Mayor Michelle Wu’s commitment to increasing social connection opportunities for older adults and building a Boston that is a home for everyone. Grant recipients will receive funding of up to $2,500 to address small-scale programming needs. Age Strong is interested in supporting grassroots nonprofits and organizations/groups whose work contributes to a more engaged and healthy Boston by building community. Grant Priorities Expanding social engagement programming for older adults in underserved communities Serving new consumers who are not already being served by an existing social engagement program offered by the applicant’s organization Supporting small-scale programming needs and one-time events that arise throughout the year With the Age Strong Rolling Grants, we aim to fund social engagement activities and projects that provide resources for limited occasion programming or are one-time events.
