AES Hawaii Scholarship Fund - Maui Grant

The AES Hawaii Scholarship Fund - Maui, established in 2022 by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, aims to provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. This initiative supports residents of Maui who demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Preference is given to students in sustainable energy fields and those who were recipients in the previous year, ensuring ongoing support for eligible candidates.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.
The Hawai‘i Community Foundation is honored to provide a wealth of financial support to qualified students and nonprofit organizations throughout Hawai‘i.
HCF invests charitable funds in communities across the State primarily through nonprofit organizations. We administer a number of grant making programs with targeted purposes or an island-based focus. We create grant programs that deliver solid results efficiently while informing our impact work and knowledge assets.
The AES Hawaii Scholarship Fund - Maui Island was created in 2022. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship grants to students seeking higher education.

Eligibility

HCF Criteria:

• Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
• Demonstrate financial need
• Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Donor criteria:

Be a student pursuing a degree that may include a focus on or leading to a career in sustainable/renewable energy (e.g. Applied Science, Architecture, Architectural Engineering & Construction Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Communications, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Technology/Repair, Engineering-Construction/Management, Engineering Technology-Electrical, Engineering-Electrical, Engineering-Environmental, Engineering Science, Energy Management, Energy Studies, Energy Systems Management, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Environmental Sustainability, Finance, Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Geoscience, Law, Landscape Architecture, Natural Resources Management, Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability, Renewable Energy Engineering, Sustainability-Construction Technology, Sustainable Environmental Design, Sustainability & Renewal Energy, Sustainable Science Management, Sustainability Studies, or similar fields of study.
