Supported by ACSM and the ACSM Foundation, these diversity, leadership, and training awards demonstrate the organizational commitment to building and recognizing the next generation of leaders in exercise science and sports medicine.

Visiting Scholar Award

The Visiting Scholar Award provides support to investigators who need further experience as independent researchers to visit a clinic or laboratory of their choice to learn new and current techniques in exercise and sports medicine. Travel, financial support and laboratory supplies will be provided to the recipient for a period of up to six months up to a maximum of $5,000.

Eligibility

* Professional Membership
* Open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree or higher and working in a field related sports medicine or exercise science.
* Professional membership is open to anyone who has earned a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree at an accredited institution in a field related to health, physical education or exercise science; or, anyone who has earned at least a bachelor's degree in another area, but is working in a field related to sports medicine or exercise science.
