Students and professionals who meet eligibility criteria are welcome to apply for any of our prestigious research and travel awards. Science Integration & Leadership Committee Basic Science Travel Award The Science Integration & Leadership Committee (SILC) Basic Science Award recognizes excellence in student research in basic science and assists with travel expenses to present scholarly work during the ACSM Annual Meeting. The award will be determined by the overall impact and quality of the study to be presented.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Open to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students enrolled in full-time programs. Applicants must not hold a terminal degree of any type (PhD, EdD, MD, DPH, etc.) at the time of application.  Applicants must be the first author and presenter of an abstract accepted in the basic science category at the ACSM Annual Meeting. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Applicants must be an ACSM national member in good standing before applying. ACSM chapter membership alone does not fulfill this requirement.
