Geographic Scope: Metropolitan Detroit area (Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties)

Focus Areas: Health and social welfare of vulnerable and/or underserved Jewish residents

Objective: The quality of life of vulnerable and/or underserved Jewish residents of metropolitan Detroit will be improved through programs addressing health and social welfare.

Board Priorities

Highest priority given to: * New programs with defined period addressing critical need * Evidence-based programs that are new or expanded offerings * Programs/services impacting residents of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties * Development and implementation of capacity building strategies (strategic planning, board/staff development, infrastructure enhancement, transition planning)

Board also prefers programs that:
* Have defined plan for sustainability beyond grant period
* Include financial or in-kind contribution from organization
* Involve collaboration with others
* Leverage multiple funding sources
* Have outcomes-based, measurable evaluation plan
* Can be funded and replicated by others
