Overview

The Delta Dental Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, and it accepts funding requests from nonprofit organizations on a rolling basis. The Foundation supports nonprofit programs that address the social determinants of health and that support the oral health workforce.

The Foundation partners with nonprofit organizations working to address the social determinants of health, and invests in programs that improve access to care, advance health equity and support community wellbeing. Oral health is intrinsically connected to public health, education and economic development, and it is complicated by underlying issues including poverty, unequal access to healthcare and unequal educational opportunity.

In 2025 Delta Dental invested $3 million in its Michigan, Ohio and Indiana communities, awarded more than 150 grants and scholarships, and worked with 130 nonprofit partners. Separately, nearly 800 employees volunteered more than 3,500 hours and donated nearly $42,000 to more than 100 nonprofit organizations.

How to Apply

Submit a request through the funding request form linked from the Giving Back page on the Delta Dental of Michigan website. Organizations whose work addresses the social determinants of health or supports the oral health workforce are the Foundation's stated priorities.
