Overview

5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities The purpose of the FTA Section 5310 program is to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities when the transportation service provided is unavailable, insufficient or inappropriate to meet these needs. This program funds eligible capital, mobility management, purchased transportation services, and preventive maintenance projects for transportation agencies serving seniors and individuals with disabilities. 5310 funding may not be used for operations projects. Projects eligible for Section 5310 funding must be derived from a locally developed and adopted Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (Coordinated Plan).
