THE FOUNDATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE LITERACY AMOUNG THE RESIDENTS OF VIRGINIA BY SUPPORTING PUBLIC LITERACY PROGRAMS, ENHANCING LITERACY INITIATIVES AND ENCOURAGING STATEWIDE LITERACY AWARENESS, AND TO MAKE GRANTS AND AID TO SUPPORT THIS GOAL.
