Valerie & Charles Diker Fund Inc

The Dikers have made significant contributions to cultural institutions. They announced a promised gift of 91 masterworks of Native American art to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, selected from a collection assembled over more than four decades. These works range in date from the 2nd to the early 20th century and represent diverse aesthetic forms and media from culturally distinct traditions across the North American continent. An additional 20 works had previously been given to The Met during the prior two decades.

The foundation's Native American art collection is currently on long-term display at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the American Wing, featuring 116 works representing more than fifty Indigenous groups and organized into seven geographical regions: Woodlands, Plains, Plateau, California and Great Basin, Southwest, Northwest Coast, and the Arctic.
