Youth and Young Adult Public Education: The Truth campaign is a leading public health education initiative that has driven reductions in youth and young adult tobacco use for two decades. The campaign prevents youth and young adults from starting nicotine use and helps those addicted to quit through public service ads, influencers, social media, and on-the-ground events. Since 2018, the campaign has focused on the youth vaping epidemic and the harms of nicotine addiction for young people.
Tobacco Cessation Innovations: The EX Program is a free consumer program serving as a guide for quitting smoking, vaping, or any tobacco product. The organization also operates This Is Quitting, a text message quit vaping program that has enrolled over 720,000 young people.
Youth Education Curriculum: Vaping: Know the truth® is a youth e-cigarette prevention curriculum implemented in over 9,000 schools nationwide, reaching over one million students.
Research & Evaluation: The Truth Initiative Schroeder Institute and Innovations division powers initiatives with sound science and evidence-based strategies.
Policy Leadership and Community Engagement: Programs supporting populations at high risk of tobacco use and innovation in tobacco dependence treatment.
