EVERY PERSON, INCLUDING EVERY CHILD AND ADOLESCENT, HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE FREE FROM VIOLENCE AND EVERYONE HAS A ROLE TO PLAY IN MAKING THIS A REALITY. TO ACHIEVE THIS, WE MUST FOCUS ON ENDING VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. WE BRING SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE NEEDS OF ADOLESCENT GIRLS - WHO OFTEN FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS OF EFFORTS TO ADDRESS CHILDREN AND WOMEN - AND A STRONG FOCUS ON SEXUAL VIOLENCE, IN ALL ITS FORMS.
