In 2024, the Stowers Machinery Foundation donated $100,000 to support Roane State Community College's new Knox Regional Health Science Education Center in West Knoxville. The 130,000-square-foot facility, located at 9575 Sherrill Boulevard across from Parkwest Medical Center, was under construction with an expected opening in fall 2025. The center will house health science programs from both Roane State and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Knoxville, and is projected to educate more than 8,000 students annually. Programs offered will include nursing, EMS, polysomnography, respiratory therapy, and planned additions of cardiovascular technology, healthcare administration, and public health.
