THE PURPOSE AND INTENT OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE FOR ITS MEMBERS THE MUTUAL PROTECTION, INTERESTS AND WELFARE OF ALL INDIVIDUALS IN THE EMPLOY OF ANY STATE, LOCAL OR COUNTY SHERIFF'S POLICY AGENCY, TO PROVIDE LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO MEMBERS, TO PROMOTE HARMONIOUS LABOR RELATIONS BETWEEN LAW OFFICERS, NON-SWORN PERSONNEL, AND THEIR EMPLOYERS; TO PREPARE AND KEEP CURRENT INFORMATION ON POLICE LABOR DECISIONS, AND TO DISSEMINATE SAID FACTS AND DECISIONS TO ITS BARGAINING SERVICES AND PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF SAME; AND TO ELICIT FRIENDSHIP AND UNDERSTANDING AMONG THIS ORGANIZATION, THEIR EMPLOYERS, AND THE PEOPLE IT SERVES.
