The ExxonMobil Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of the Exxon Mobil Corporation in the United States. Incorporated in 1955 as the Esso Education Foundation, the organization was renamed the Exxon Education Foundation in 1972 and took its current name in 1999 following the merger of Exxon Corporation and Mobil Corporation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private foundation headquartered in Spring, Texas.
