THE CHS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, INC. WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN EARLY HEAD START CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN HAMILTON, NEW JERSEY, AND THE RENOVATION OF THE CHILDREN'S HOME SOCIETY OF NEW JERSEY'S HEADQUARTERS IN TRENTON, NEW JERSEY. THE FOUNDATION WILL LEASE THE COMPLETED FACILITIES TO THE CHILDREN'S HOME SOCIETY. THIS PROJECT IS FINANCED THROUGH THE NEW MARKETS TAX CREDIT (NMTC) PROGRAM, WHICH IS A FEDERAL TAX CREDIT INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE INVESTMENT IN LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES.
