Founded in 1938, it is the largest, most influential, and most representative dermatology association in the United States. The organization serves over 20,500 board-certified dermatologists and represents virtually all practicing dermatologists in the United States, as well as a growing number of international dermatologists. The AAD operates in 22 countries and employs over 200 staff members.
