Overview

Youth Philanthropy Program Guidelines The Community Foundation encourages applications from nonprofits of all sizes across all fields of interest. A broad cross-section of strong applications enriches the learning experience for participants and increases their awareness of the nonprofits who serve our community and the importance of the work they do. Requests may not exceed $1,500. Applicants may request between $500 and $1,500 in funding. Grant Presentations may be requested by the students. Students distribute grant checks at an Awards Party in November. What students fund The Youth Philanthropy Program supports a wide variety of proposals. Ideas for addressing issues in the arts, environment, social services, education, recreation, animal and civic arenas are all welcome. The Program supports programs, capital projects, equipment purchases, pilot projects and, on a case by case basis, general operating expenses.

Eligibility

Ineligibility

The Youth Philanthropy Program does not provide support for the following: religious activity, debt retirement, political activity, tickets for benefits, telephone solicitations or organizations/projects working primarily to influence legislation.
