Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the White Rose Leadership Institute
Years of leadership experience in nonprofit, educational, or governmental institutions
Professional and personal goals that are strong and relevant
Plans that meaningfully increase capacity as a community leader
Ambitious plans that stretch boundaries or are otherwise unattainable without the fellowship
Plans that add value to the York County nonprofit community

2. This form connects you with a member of the YFF Ambassador Committee
3. YFF Ambassadors serve as resources (non-evaluative role) to guide you through the process

1. Draft your Fellowship Application in Microsoft Word

Selection Process

1. Peer Reader Review (Optional): Single volunteer peer reader evaluates applications for completeness and adherence to question intent 2. Selection Committee Review: 10-person YFF Selection Committee evaluates all applications using a Selection Rubric 3. Committee Scoring: Each committee member scores applications 4. Committee Meeting: Discussion begins with highest-scoring application and proceeds through all applications 5. Selection: Top-scoring applicants are selected based on available seats (3 per year) 6. Announcement: Selected Fellows announced at White Rose Leadership Institute Annual Meeting (November) 7. Personal Communication: All applicants receive personal communications regarding selection status 8. Feedback Available: Applicants not selected are encouraged to seek feedback and reapply

Post-Selection Requirements

Significant changes to fellowship activities and/or budget must be submitted in writing and approved by the board
WRLI Board reserves the right to revoke award if circumstances dictate
Post-fellowship report including receipts required upon completion of Fellowship Year
Fellows expected to add themselves to YFF directory
Fellows invited and expected to continue engagement with WRLI (events, committees, board service)
