YCF Women’s Giving Circle Grants

The YCF Women’s Giving Circle Grants empower women through philanthropy by funding organizations in Harrison, Taylor, Marion, Preston, and Monongalia Counties, West Virginia. Eligible projects include those that enhance life skills, promote healthy development, and foster gender equity. The foundation prioritizes non-profit organizations in good standing, including faith groups for community-beneficial activities. Exclusions apply for fundraising, partisan activities, and general operating expenses, ensuring funds directly support women's initiatives.

Empowering Women Through Philanthropy
The Women’s Giving Circle, a component fund of YCF welcomes grant applications for organizations in Harrison, Taylor, Marion, Preston and Monongalia Counties in West Virginia that are addressing one or more of the following needs of women in our community:
Increasing life skills of women and girls through education, economic empowerment, physical and mental health, and strategies for prevention of violence and crime

Eligibility

All applicant organizations must be charitable organizations in good standing at the time of application. This includes non-profit tax-exempt organizations pursuant to IRS section 501(c)(3) and public institutions. Faith organizations, such as churches, are eligible to receive funding for activities that are non-discriminatory, nonsectarian, and that benefit the larger community.

Ineligibility

Grant funds may not be used for:fundraising events such as dinners, golf outings, etc.alcohol, firearms, or tobacco productscontributions to candidates for elective office or for partisan political purposescapital campaigns or endowmentsintermediary funding agenciesacademic scholarshipsgeneral operating expenses of an organizationadministrative, day to day staff operations (Funds may be used to cover staff time only as it relates to the specific project being funded.)
