Tanner Children’s Enrichment Fund was created by Rita Tanner in the name of her late husband, a beloved member of the Morgantown community who gave many years of faithful service to numerous organizations and causes. The Stephen D. Tanner Children’s Enrichment Fund is devoted to providing grants to benefit underprivileged children in Monongalia County. The Stephen D. Tanner Children’s Enrichment Fund is devoted to providing grants to benefit underprivileged children in YCF’s service area, including Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor Counties. Who is eligible to apply?This grant is open to all school-based staff, including general education classroom teachers, music and visual arts teachers, school counselors, program specialists, mental health professionals, and others.Project-based learning, cross-curriculum initiatives, and projects that engage parents of students are encouraged.Applicants are encouraged to pursue matching funds to maximize impact. The funds are expected to be used in the 2025-26 school year.

Ineligibility

Travel expenses will NOT be covered.Please note that grant recipients cannot require or request out-of-pocket spending by children or families in association with these grant funds.Matching funds may not be solicited from students or their families.
