WYO Rodeo Scholarship

Overview: The Sheridan WYO Rodeo awards five (5) annual scholarships of $3,000 each to deserving Sheridan County high school graduating seniors. In 2026, the rodeo board expanded the program from three $1,500 scholarships to five $3,000 scholarships. Over the past 25 years, the WYO Rodeo has awarded over $90,000 to deserving Sheridan County students.
Eligibility Requirements
- Geographic Scope: Sheridan County, Wyoming only
- Academic: Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00
- Age/Grade: Must be graduating from a high school in Sheridan County the year of application
- Bonus consideration: All applicants who are part of the SPURS volunteer group (official rodeo volunteers) will receive extra points toward the total points determining scholarship winners

- Amount: Five scholarships at $3,000 each per year
- Recurrence: Annual
- Recognition: Scholarship winners will be recognized during Sheridan WYO Rodeo week (July 6-12, with performances July 8-11)

- Share the name of college, university, or trade school you plan to attend
- List the address of the Financial Aid Office of the above school you plan to attend
