Workforce Upskilling for HVAC Supply Chain Manufacturers The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (the “Department” or “DCEO”) is issuing this Notice of Funding Opportunity (“NOFO”) to set forth the requirements for funding for the Fast Track Training Support Program funded by the Workforce, Technology and Economic Development Fund 20 ILCS 605/605-420, for the following purposes: To assist individuals targeted for service through education, training and workforce development programs to obtain employment related skills and obtain employmentTo identify, develop, commercialize and promote technology within the StateTo promote economic development within the State This NOFO is for a local workforce innovation area (LWIA) in St. Clair County to provide a range of services to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) and plumbing supply chain manufacturers currently located in or relocating to St. Clair County that are seeking to hire, train and/or upskill workers. This funding is intended to provide critically needed workforce development training and job placement support to specialized manufacturers in the St Clair County area.
