Communityworks Endowment Fund

Purpose: To advance workforce development, childcare, and early childhood education.

Eligibility:

• 501(c)(3) organizations or units of government
• Must advance workforce development, childcare, and/or early childhood education in Adams, Brown, Hancock, and Pike Counties, IL
• Programs must focus on one of the following issues:
  • Workforce development and/or early childhood education (including child care)

Priority Areas (in order):

• New or expanded and innovative efforts
• High-impact programs or projects (not operations) benefiting significant numbers of individuals or families
• Programs that increase the pool of educated professionals or skilled workers
• Programs that strengthen quantity and quality of child care settings
• Programs that reduce barriers for individuals to enter and remain in the workforce

Geographic Scope: Adams, Brown, Hancock, and Pike Counties, IL

Application Requirement: A letter of inquiry is required prior to the application process, including:

• Amount being requested
• Brief description of program or project
• Population served
• Anticipated implementation timeline
