An AAEDC program that provides reimbursable grants to qualified businesses to support workforce training and professional development for both new and incumbent workers.

Award Details

• Grant Amount: Up to $1,000 per employee
• Maximum per Employee: $1,000
• Reimbursement Structure: Reimbursable grant (up to 50% of training costs per employee)
• Eligible Costs Coverage: Up to 50% of per-employee training costs

Eligible Uses

The program covers training expenses including:
• On-the-job training
• Classroom or offsite training
• Purchasing training software
• Train-the-trainer scenarios
• Professional development for new and incumbent workers

Eligibility

• Geographic Scope: Anne Arundel County-based businesses
• Business Size: Part of programs targeting technology companies with fewer than 100 employees and gross revenue less than $5 million (when used as part of Arundel Defense Tech Toolbox)
• Employee Type: Supports training for both new hires and existing employees

Integration with Other Programs

The Workforce Training Grant Program may be used in conjunction with:
• Runway to Success Program Powered by Southwest Airlines: Businesses can combine workforce training grants with travel awards for conference and training attendance
• Arundel Defense Tech Toolbox: Available to technology companies as part of broader business support package
