About
Since 1921 the Woodworth family has been working and living in the Tacoma and Pierce County community. We believe in contributing to the region that has been so important to our family’s success in business, and life.
Woodworth Family Foundation Grant
The Woodworth Family Foundation supports nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in Tacoma and Pierce County whose projects emphasize education, youth services, health care and human services.
* Education: Programs and initiatives that build the mind, character or physical ability of students.
* Our focus: scholarships, capital projects, colleges, universities, private primary schools, private secondary schools
* Youth Services: Programs that engage young people in intensive, organized activities that contribute to their growth and benefit the local community.
* Our focus: sports, skill building, at-risk youth
* Health Care: Institutions and programs that preserve health or treat, prevent and manage illness.
* Our focus: hospital funds, hospital capital projects, treatment services, prevention programs
* Human Services: Programs or facilities that strive to meet the basic needs of people in our community.
* Our focus: food banks, homeless services and shelters, crisis intervention
Funding
Our grants typically range from $2,500 to $25,000.
We generally do not provide grants to an organization in back-to-back years. We prefer to see a 24-month interim between grants.
