College Spark Washington Education Equity Fund

College Spark Washington's Education Equity Fund (EEF) supports work designed to dismantle barriers to equity in education for students in high school and at community and technical colleges in Washington State. Stated focus areas are alternatives to exclusionary discipline in high school, placement at community and technical colleges, community-centered decision-making, culturally responsive curriculum and pedagogy, and anti-racist leadership development. Recent awards run $150,000-$180,000 per grantee over two to three years (e.g. Washington Ethnic Studies Now $180k/3yr; South King County Discipline Coalition $180k/2yr general operating; Seattle University $178k/3yr; OneAmerica $150k/3yr), and a 2022 round awarded over $1 million across six organizations. Grantees include nonprofits, school districts, community/technical colleges, a university and an educational service district.
