Mission: To advance the education, economic mobility, and health of our community by mobilizing resources, people, and organizations. Vision: An equitable Lancaster County where every individual has an opportunity to succeed, and the entire community thrives as a result. Women United Grant The mission of Women United is “To invest in the betterment of Lancaster County women” through the vision “Achieve impactful change in the health, education, and financial stability of Lancaster County women.” Each year, the grant will rotate through the 3 aspects of Women United’s focus areas, starting last year with promoting financial stability through further education and increased financial empowerment of Lancaster County women. The objective of this grant cycle is to better the lives of Lancaster County women by promoting women’s education initiatives (technical and employment skills).

Eligibility for funding will be determined based on the assessment of the following:Services must be located in Lancaster County and benefit Lancaster County women over the age of 18;Services must align with grant objective (listed above);Organizations or Lead fiscal agents meet the following requirements:Current 501(c)3 designation from IRSRegistered with the PA Bureau of Charitable Organizations unless otherwise exemptIRS Form 990W-9 FormAnnual audit or financial review by an independent CPA within last 12 monthsAbide by a non-discrimination policyComply with United Way’s Patriot Act policyUp to $60,000 available, with grants ranging from $20,000 (minimum) to $30,000 (maximum).
