Overview

Women's Impact Fund Grant Our grantmaking process has two purposes. First, to make high-impact grants to local nonprofit organizations. Second, to train our members as thoughtful philanthropists. We continue to lean into trust-based philanthropy principles and aim to conduct a fair, transparent grantmaking experience. Program Areas Women’s Impact Fund makes annual grants in five program areas. Nonprofits must choose in which program area to apply. Arts & CultureEducationEnvironmentHealthHuman Services Funding Principles Builds resilience and/or demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing societal and environmental circumstancesReduces disparities in our communityIncreases accessibilityResponsive to, or aware of, root causesConsiders racial and/or gender equityServes populations that are underserved or not reached through other resources or organizations Funding Grant applications, member vote, and the grant pool size determine recipients and grant amounts. Grants for can range from $10,000 to $100,000. Unlike prior years, WIF is not asking applicants to request a specific funding amount.

Eligibility

If your organization is part of a state or national organization, you should focus your application and submitted financial information on Mecklenburg County, NC.This year grants will be for unrestricted operating support.

Ineligibility

Confirm your organization is not a fraternal organization, capital or endowment campaign, or organization that requires or teaches particular religious beliefs in order to receive services.
