Overview

Kitsap Community Foundation What We Do The Kitsap Community Foundation (KCF) is committed to improving life and connecting people who care with causes that matter. As a philanthropy services organization, we help Kitsap County residents maximize both the social impact and tax benefit of their giving. Our resources make it easier to match the most effective non-profits to a donor's favorite philanthropic interest, enabling clients to achieve far more than they could by themselves. Kitsap Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, working to create an equitable, sustainable culture of philanthropy in our community. To fulfill its mission "as a catalyst for the greater good," the Kitsap Community Foundation established an annual grant-making process. With the support of our donor-advised funds and a number of other investors, KCF distributions have exceeded $33 million since 1993. KCF supports charitable organizations that benefit Kitsap County & North Mason County. Women's Giving Circle of the Kitsap Peninsula The Kitsap Community Foundation along with the Women’s Giving Circle of the Kitsap Peninsula (WGCKP) invites larger organizations (Annual Revenue over $100,000) and smaller organizations (Annual Revenue under $100,000) that serve women and/or children in the Kitsap Peninsula to request up to $10,000 for large organizations and $2,500 for small organizations. The Women’s Giving Circle of the Kitsap Peninsula promotes philanthropy among women of all generations. Our grants support programs that uplift women and/or children in our community. We are a group of socially-minded women with a deep desire to help our community. We bring women together for a few fun and meaningful gatherings each year where we can enjoy each other’s company, hear interesting presentations, and jointly decide which local nonprofits we want to help. We award grants each year to nonprofits serving women and children throughout the Kitsap Peninsula.
