Overview

William D. Piety Perpetual Conservation Endowment Fund

Named in Honor of: William D. Piety, committed naturalist and longtime CMC member (early 1980s-present) active in conservation and preservation of wild lands

Purpose: Provide financial support for conservation activities and programs of the Colorado Mountain Club's Conservation Department

Eligible Uses:

  • Preserving and protecting wild lands

  • Engaging CMC members and youth in stewardship projects throughout Colorado

  • Priority emphasis: "On the ground research"

  • Outdoor education

  • Long-term conservation of biologically rich and rare lands for future generations
  • Fund Structure: Permanent and perpetual endowment. Only earnings and income are distributed; principal is protected.
