Whitney Pinkerton Fund Grant

The Whitney Pinkerton Fund Grant, offered by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, provides up to $750 to enhance library collections in the El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo Counties. This grant aims to support public, private, and K-12 school libraries, encouraging the acquisition of books across various genres, including nonfiction, biographies, history, arts, and humanities. Proposals for e-books are also welcome, reflecting the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose of the Whitney/Pinkerton Fund is to award grants of up to $750 for the purpose of adding books to the libraries' general or special collections.
The Sacramento Region Community Foundation is pleased to announce the release of a mini-grant program for the region's public, private, and school (K-12) libraries. The Jerrold B. Whitney/Clayton Pinkerton Fund awards grants of up to $750 to add books to libraries' general or special collections. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, proposals for e-books are also welcomed.
Specifically, funds may be used to purchase works in the following genres:

• Nonfiction Biographies
• History
• Arts
• Humanities

Eligibility

To be eligible, your organization must be located and provide services in our four county region: El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo Counties.Be considered a 501(c)(3) public charity, 501(c)(3) private operating foundation or be fiscally-sponsored by an organization that meets this requirement

Ineligibility

Funds may not be used for any other purposes or genres and may not be used to purchase text books or books for specific classes.
