WG Scholarship (WomenGive)

Overview: WomenGive offers child care scholarships to single mothers pursuing postsecondary education in Larimer County.

Purpose: When mothers have access to reliable, high-quality child care, they can focus on their education and long-term goals with confidence.

Geographic Scope: Larimer County, Colorado (primary residents); applicants living outside Larimer County may qualify if they meet two of the specified criteria.

Award Structure:

Awards are paid directly to the child care provider

Cover the cost of direct care services for each child while the student is enrolled in classes

Recipients receive a once-per-semester direct cash assistance payment as part of the program

Application Cycles:

Summer 2026: Opens March 6, 2026; Closes March 30, 2026

Fall 2026: Opens June 1, 2026; Closes June 29, 2026

Spring 2027: Opens October 2, 2026; Closes October 26, 2026

Eligibility Requirements:

Single mother with primary custody of children not cohabitating with an intimate partner

Income: At or below 225% of the Federal Poverty Level (including wages and child support)

Education: Pursuing a trade school, certificate, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree

Child Care: Using a licensed child care provider

Credit Enrollment: Plan to enroll in a minimum of six credits for Fall/Spring semesters (3 credit minimum for Summer semester)

Residency: Resident of Larimer County OR live outside Larimer County but meet two of these criteria:

- Attend school in Larimer County (verified through transcripts)
- Work in Larimer County (verified through paystubs)
- Receive public benefits in Larimer County (verified through benefits letter)
- Children attend school and/or daycare in Larimer County (verified through enrollment letter)
