We Give Thanks Matching Grant Program

Program Overview:
A matching grant program designed to support local food distribution organizations during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Geographic Scope: LaGrange County, Indiana

Eligible Focus Areas:

• Food assistance and distribution
• Emergency food pantries

How It Works:

• Local donors contribute to the We Give Thanks campaign
• LaGrange County Community Foundation Board matches contributions dollar-for-dollar
• Maximum match per organization: $5,000
• Example: If donors give $2,500 to an organization, LCCF matches $2,500 for total of $5,000

Eligible Applicants:

• Food pantries
• Food distribution organizations
• Community organizations providing food assistance

Historical Awards:

• 2017: Total of $10,936 awarded to two organizations
  • Clothes and Food Basket (LaGrange): $8,936
  • Scott Emergency Food Pantry (Shipshewana): $2,000

Application Process

For Donors:

• Make contribution to LaGrange County Community Foundation
• On check memo line write: "We Give Thanks"

• Foundation matches contributions dollar-for-dollar
• Maximum match of $5,000 per organization
