Overview

WDCC Scholarship Program

Funder: Women's Division Chamber of Commerce (WDCC), Michigan

Geographic Scope: Muskegon County and surrounding areas (north to Hart in Oceana County, south to West Olive, and east to Coopersville and Conklin in Ottawa County)

Background: WDCC is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization founded in 1951 to promote the community and create civic awareness. The organization has granted over $343,515 to local non-profit organizations and area projects.

Award: A minimum of six $1,000 scholarships are available

Focus: Support for students planning to attend higher education institutions

    Eligible Institutions

  • Muskegon Community College (MCC)
  • Muskegon Baker College (Baker College-Muskegon Campus)

Note: Muskegon Promise Recipients attending MCC can use this scholarship toward books and lab fees.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum GPA: 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Residency/School Connection: At least one of the following:
  • - Reside in Muskegon County - Attend a Muskegon County high school - Be a graduate of a Muskegon County high school - Be enrolled at Muskegon Community College or Muskegon Baker College
  • Enrollment Status: Must be a full-time student during the 2026-2027 school year, enrolled at Muskegon Community College or Baker College-Muskegon Campus

Member Memorial Scholarship (MMS)

The prestigious Member Memorial Scholarship is awarded in $1,000 increments to top candidates who demonstrate a desire to improve the community through service. The MMS honors deceased WDCC members and is awarded in the names of those being honored through family/member donations. Recipients are deserving female or male students attending Muskegon Community College or Muskegon Baker College.

How to Designate the MMS Fund:
Members and/or their families can designate contributions in memory of a loved one to the WDCC Member Memorial Scholarship Fund. If a full $1,000 scholarship is funded, the award is given in the loved one's name.
