Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits or equivalent, benefiting local residents and addressing specific categories such as arts, health, and environment.Overview
Organizations planning to apply to participate in the 2023 Great Fish Community Challenge may apply for a Community Grant to support a capital project. Whitefish Community Foundation encourages small nonprofits to apply for a Community Grant to help the Foundation become acquainted with the organization. Receiving a Community Grant is often a stepping stone to being considered as a Great Fish Community Challenge participant. Funding Considerations Whitefish Community Foundation’s Grants Committee will prioritize funding of organizations and initiatives where there is a social need and where the results will benefit our community at large. The Foundation will consider funding for projects and programs, including capital projects that are established with a record of development activity and fulfill the mission of the organization. To be eligible to receive a Community Grant, all requested funding must be allocated to projects and/or programs benefiting residents of the Flathead Valley or Eureka and be associated with one of the following categories: Arts and Culture, Animals, Civic, Conservation/Environment, Education, Health and Human Service, or Recreation.Eligibility
