Waite-Griffin SBMA Fellowship

  • Target Candidates: Junior PhD or MD researchers interested in a career in SBMA research and/or patient care

  • Young researchers are particularly encouraged

  • Postdoctoral researchers and early-career scientists are eligible
  • Program Description:
    The Waite-Griffin SBMA Fellowship was established to honor the legacy of individuals and families whose generosity and commitment have strengthened the KD/SBMA research community. KDA believes it is important to support young researchers who are enthusiastic about their work. By doing so, the organization aims to encourage researchers to include SBMA in their future career research plans.

    Award Details:

  • Stipend: $75,000 for one year

  • Travel/Educational Allowance: Up to $2,000 for travel and/or educational expenses

  • Time Commitment: Awardees are expected to devote at least 70% of their time to SBMA research

  • Renewal: Fellowship may be extended with demonstrated progress in SBMA research
