Vision Through Music® Financial Grants

Funding Focus
Vision Through Music® financial grants may help fund:- Who can apply: Any blind or partially sighted student who finds a teacher through the Vision Through Music® teacher registry and begins lessons with that teacher
- Age requirements: Students 18 and younger will be prioritized for grants; adults interested in applying must have experienced vision loss as a child
- Application requirement: For students younger than 18 years, application must be made by a parent or guardian
Eligibility
- Lesson tuition grants: Designed to help fund a 26-week term with a maximum of $1,000
- Instrument/equipment grants: Will not exceed the cost of the item
- Activation deadline: An approved grant must be activated within 90 days of grant approval
- Renewal: Possible with re-application by student families

How to Apply
1. Find a teacher: Locate a teacher through the Vision Through Music® teacher registry
2. Begin lessons: Start lessons with that teacher
3. Submit application: Complete the financial grant application (submit at any time)
4. Application review: CEF will review and respond within 60 days of receipt
5. Grant activation: If approved, activate the grant within 90 days of approval
- Student information (name, age, contact details)
- Vision status (blind or partially sighted confirmation)
- Teacher information (name and contact from VTM registry)
- Grant type requested (lesson tuition or instrument/equipment)
- For minors: Parent or guardian contact information and authorization
- Statement of importance of music to the student
- Description of expected benefits
