Overview

Vincent Roth Fund for Systematics Research Grant The Vincent Roth Fund for Systematics Research supports undergraduate or graduate student AAS members whose work focuses on the taxonomy or systematics of any arachnid group. Awards may be used for field work, museum research (including travel), expendable supplies, identification of specimens, and/or for preparation of figures and drawings for publication. Typical Award: $250 to $1000 (maximum) In an effort to maximize the overall impact of arachnological research funding, the American Arachnological Society and the International Society of Arachnology are working together to promote and fund student research. Eligibility

Research grants are awarded only to student members of the AAS.  If you are from a developing nation, sponsored memberships are available and must be obtained to be eligible for a grant. The AAS is unable to provide support for researchers or students who are from U.S. embargoed countries, but it can provide sponsored memberships.The same proposal (or substantially similar) may not be submitted to both the AAS Student Research Grants and the International Society of Arachnology Oscar and Jan Francke Student Research Fund in the same year, though different proposals may be submitted to the two funds. Only student applicants may submit proposals. To be considered for an award from either fund, please submit, in English, a completed application form. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.

Proposals will not be accepted if submitted on behalf of a student by any other person.
