Overview
VFIC Women's Leadership Development Summit
Status: Active
Geographic Scope: Virginia (open to students from VFIC member institutions)
Purpose: To provide women and leaders of all ages, backgrounds, and professions the opportunity to practice the socialization of leadership—sharing ideas, developing strategies, encouraging growth, and instilling confidence. The summit shapes how women view leadership and has a positive impact on each participant's self-perception as a leader. By creating a forum for discussing women and leadership and encouraging them to develop strategies for effecting change, the summit helps prepare women attending VFIC schools for leadership roles.
Target Audience: Female undergraduate juniors and seniors
