Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. Scholars to Leaders Fellowship Program

Overview: Fellowship named for Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., who served as President of the Economic Club from 2004 to 2008. During his tenure, Vernon Jordan significantly increased the Club's stature as a critical forum for exploration of pressing economic and financial issues.

Award Amount: $10,000 one-time fellowship award per recipient

Number of Awards: Up to three individuals awarded annually

Eligible Recipients: Recipients of the David M. Rubenstein Scholarship only

Funding Purpose: To support graduate-level education across all academic disciplines

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership

  • Engagement in Economic Club activities

  • Academic merit

  • History of community service

  • Potential for student's graduate education to contribute to the community

  • Alignment with overall goals of the Scholars to Leaders program
  • 2025 Awards: Three outstanding applicants were awarded $10,000 to support their graduate-level education
