Overview
United Way of North Central Ohio established the Community Relief Fund to support local social services in response to the COVID-19 crisis and its consequences. The fund enables swift and strategic response to community needs.
Geographic Scope: Crawford, Marion, and Wyandot counties, Ohio
Focus Areas:
- Emergency shelter services
- Emergency food and household necessities
- Workforce support
- Services for seniors including meal delivery
- Mental health services
- Childcare for essential workers
- PPE and emergency supplies for health departments
- Other COVID-19 relief and pandemic-related response efforts

- Non-profit organizations in the tri-county area
- Organizations responding to COVID-19 outbreak and its consequences
- Organizations whose abilities to continue missions are threatened by the pandemic
Application Process:
- Applications accepted on a rolling basis with no deadline
- Evaluated every 60 days by Ad Hoc Allocation Committee (beginning May 1)
- Award decisions and funding follow evaluation periods
- Grant application does not guarantee funding
- Awards made only so long as funds available in the Community Relief Fund
- Applicants who received funds may reapply if programming focus shifts
