Overview

United Way of Greater Hazleton Annual Allocation/Grant Program

Status: Open to all 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations

Geographic Scope: Greater Hazleton area, Pennsylvania

Background: First expanded opportunity in the organization's history to open the annual allocation process to all eligible non-profits in the Greater Hazleton area.

    Eligible Focus Areas

    Organizations must fit into ONE of the following categories:
  • Education
  • Health
  • Financial Stability
  • Safety Network

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
  • Operating in the Greater Hazleton area
  • For Education, Health, and Financial Stability: must target Hazleton area families with dependent children and income limits at no more than 250% of the Federal Poverty Level
  • For Safety Net proposals: must target individuals, families, and youth at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level or facing immediate threats to their well-being
  • Must track and measure United Way of Greater Hazleton's Community Outcomes and Indicators

Application Process

1. Complete application (available online or for pickup) 2. Submit by deadline 3. Organizations passing first review will be notified 4. Selected organizations must appear before the allocation panel
