Overview

The Construction Management Association of America South Atlantic Chapter awards academic scholarships to qualified full-time students pursuing related degrees in architecture, engineering, or construction management. The scholarships help students defray the costs of pursuing a degree in one of these disciplines.

    Eligibility

  • Academic Status: Must have completed a minimum of one full academic year of studies and must have a minimum of one full academic year remaining prior to completing the degree
  • Program Eligibility: Must be enrolled in an A/E/C degree program or other related degree program in the South Atlantic Chapter region (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee). Examples include: architecture, engineering (civil, mechanical, structural, etc.), and construction management
  • Membership: Must be a CMAA-SAC Member (FREE for students)

    Selection Criteria

  • Academic performance: 40%
  • Quality of essay on future plans and scholarship interest: 30%
  • Recommendation of faculty advisor: 20%
  • Extracurricular activities: 10%

How to Apply

Application Process

1. Download the Application: Download the application from the CMAA-SAC website
2. Complete All Sections: All sections of the application must be completed in full and submitted electronically
3. Prepare Required Materials:
- Transcripts (scanned and sent electronically)
- Essay on future plans and scholarship interest (typed)
- Faculty advisor recommendation (scanned and sent electronically)
- Evidence of extracurricular activities
4. Submission Format:
- Submit one email with all completed sections of the application, preferably in one PDF document
- Subject line should include your last name and school name
- Submit via email to the designated address
- Request proof of electronic delivery
5. Review and Notification:
- Selected winners will be notified on or about May 30, 2024
- Scholarship checks will be handed over at the CMAA-SAC Annual Banquet
- Winners are strongly encouraged to attend the Annual Banquet for recognition
