Overview

Undergraduate Development Program Student Travel Award The Undergraduate Development Program (UDP) Student Travel Award provides the opportunity for promising undergraduate science majors interested in research careers to attend the Undergraduate Development Program from March 21–23, 2026, at the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting. The goal of the program is to provide an opportunity for interested students to learn more about toxicology, and recruit students to graduate school in the biomedical sciences, especially toxicology. SOT is committed to inclusiveness in all its activities. We recognize that recruiting individuals with a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds enhances creativity and drives innovation across our Society and scientific field. In addition to attending Annual Meeting sessions, participants in the Undergraduate Development Program engage in presentations and case studies across the breadth of toxicology, discover education and career opportunities in the field, and learn more about the requirements for graduate school and a research career. Students form mentoring relationships with senior toxicologists, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars, meet with academic program and internship directors, and explore careers with toxicologists from universities, government, industry, and other scientific organizations. SOT also offers the Undergraduate Development Program Advisor Travel Award for undergraduate faculty who are not SOT members to attend the Undergraduate Development Program from March 21–23, 2026, at the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting.
