Hillman Prize winners will be awarded a $5,000 honorarium and a certificate at our annual ceremony to be held in New York City.

The contest is open to journalists globally, although work must have been published or broadcast in English in the last calendar year and been widely accessible to a U.S audience.You may nominate your own work or someone else's.You may apply on your own, or be entered by your outlet/organization. There is no limit to the number of entries one outlet may make. The foundation will continue the SEIU Award for Reporting on Racial and Economic Justice.All Hillman Prize entries will be automatically considered for this award as well.
