Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. The contest is open to journalists globally, although work must have been widely accessible to a U.S audience. Reporting must have been published in English in the last calendar year. You may nominate your own work or someone else's.You may apply on your own, or be entered by your outlet/organization. There is no limit to the number of entries one outlet may make. The foundation will continue the SEIU Award for Reporting on Racial and Economic Justice.All Hillman Prize entries will be automatically considered for this award as well.If you write for a digital only-outlet, use your best judgement as to whether it fits better in the Newspaper or Magazine category. Please do NOT enter the same work twice in two different categories. Don’t worry, if we think your work fits better in a different category we will reassign it internally.
