Canadian Hillman Prize Grant

The Canadian Hillman Prize, awarded by the Sidney Hillman Foundation, recognizes outstanding journalism that serves the common good. It seeks investigative reporting that highlights social or economic injustices and drives public policy change. Open to global journalists, entries must be published in Canada within the last year. Categories include print/digital, broadcast, and local news. The foundation honors three winners annually, celebrating courage and skill in reporting significant stories.

Eligibility

The contest is open to journalists and subjects globally, although the reporting must have been published in the last calendar year in Canada and/or have been widely available to a Canadian audience.You may nominate your own work or someone else's.The judges will select entries in the following categories: print/digital broadcast (tv, radio, podcast)local/community newsThere is no limit to the number of entries one journalist, publication or outlet may enter.
