To be eligible to apply for funding, an organization must:Be classified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or classified as an organization under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code or have a fiscal sponsor classified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or an organization under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code Provide services to residents of the Two Harbors Area Fund’s service area, defined as the boundaries of the Lake Superior School District.

Ineligibility

While funding may be recommended for more than one year to stabilize new programs, long-term or permanent support is not available.The following areas are of low priority and usually will not receive funding:capital purchasesequipmentongoing supportProjects not eligible for funding include:endowmentsreligious activitiesmedical researchdebt retirementfundraisingpolitical campaignsprojects by re-granting organizations for their own grant-makingIndividual requests, benefit ticket purchases, and legislative advocacy efforts also fall outside the scope of eligible funding. ‍
