Our Story Inspired by the flood ’85, a group of individuals endeavored to create a local philanthropic organization. For nearly 30 years the Tucker Community Foundation exemplifies the impact of rural philanthropy. Our Value Statement We believe we have the duty to properly steward all donations that are received by the Foundation for the community. We must use the donations to create resources and benefits now, tomorrow and long into the future. We are a motivational model for a sounder, more productive future through commitment to our community: teaching giving without expecting monetary return. We believe that promoting and protecting our heritage is so important it should be a part of all decision-making within the Foundation. Tucker County Giving Circle The Tucker County Giving Circle is a newly formed organization with the goal of creating a network of support to address the needs of women and children of Tucker County. Working in partnership with the Tucker Community Foundation, we annually award grants to Tucker County not-for-profit organizations that align with our mission of increasing the life skills of the women and children. All grants are funded by the TCGC members and, as such, the amount of the grants will vary from year to year, depending on the number of members and the anticipated number of grant applications.
