Overview
The McNeely Foundation, established in the 1960s, focuses on enhancing youth development through enrichment programs aimed at middle-grade youth in East Side St. Paul, Minnesota. The foundation supports organizations that provide community-based life skills and enrichment activities, ensuring that youth can realize their potential and transition successfully into adulthood. It also considers innovative projects from outside the area that can be replicated locally, promoting a vibrant and sustainable community.
Grantmaking Focus:
It will consider applications from organizations outside of the targeted geography and age group for innovative work that could be integrated or replicated on the East Side. Our four grantmaking focus areas are Youth Development Through Enrichment, Youth Development Through Employment Training, Environment, and Family & Neighborhood Stability.
Goal
Middle-grade youth living on the East Side will develop their abilities so they can recognize and achieve their greatest potential and make the successful transition to adulthood.
Strategy
Expand access to community-based enrichment and life skills programming during or outside of the regular school hours with preference for middle grade youth and consideration for high school aged youth.
